In the past 2 posts we have looked at the appearance of meniscal tears on MRI but how about the meniscal signal or irregularity that can be seen with no tear.

Image above: The anterior horn of the menisci as the insert onto the tibia start to fragment and fibrillate. This is a normal appearance.
